Eugene Louis Boudin (b. 1824 d.1898) was a French painter. He began his career working in a picture-framing business. There were notable clients such as Millet who encouraged him to paint. He is known for his beach scenes and seascapes painting en plein air. His work is characterised by bright skies and loose brush work. Boudin spent the majority of his life on the Normandy coast. He also took part in the first Impressionist exhibition of 1874.
