Lucy graduated with a BA (Hons) Fine Art from Central Saint Martins College of Art. She has a Foundation Diploma from Chelsea College of Art and MA Museum Studies from University College London. She grew up in England, Peru, Singapore and Switzerland.
Lucy worked in London at the National Portrait Gallery, Arts Council Collection and Bridgeman Images for eight years. Roles in Collections Management, Exhibitions Management and Image Licensing have given her a wealth of experience of the art world from the inside out.
After a number of years in a self-imposed creative wilderness, Lucy decided it was high time she got her hands dirty again and so returned her focus to a freelance studio practice alongside consulting for other artists.
Having just relocated from London to Falmouth, Cornwall she is revelling in all that the artistic community, space and gorgeously moody weather has to offer.
Artistic interests include highly-ornate textiles, patterns, and the decorative arts of the early-mid 20th Century, including bright colour, bold shapes and joyous mark-making. Using a combination of gouache, watercolour and a growing knowledge of printmaking, Lucy’s current focus is on a pattern-led, detailed style of illustration, influenced by printed textiles, folk art and dream-like floral paintings.
