Biography
I work from my studio at Banks Mill studios in Derbyshire where I have the beautiful scenery of the Peak District very near by for inspiration. My primary interests are to portray an atmospheric likeness to the world around me. I enjoy observing the sparkle on water surfaces, night time contrasts of light and shade, early morning mists, sunlight streaming through the trees. These themes run through my work constantly. The paintings vary from representational work to semi abstract but the subject matter is always sourced from nature. I teach around the Midlands giving demonstrations and running workshops at art clubs . I work in mixed media combining a wide range of techniques. I belong to the SAA ( society for all artists) where I am listed as one of their Proffessional associates,
