Biography
Ivan Tsarevich was born in Belarus in 1908. He studied art in Sverdlovsk (now Ekaterinburg) in 1925-1928, after that in Vhutemas in Moscow, and after graduating he started working as a book illustrator in Moscow. After serving in World War II, he continued his career in Moscow. He came the head artist of the publishing house Sovetskii Pisatel. In 1955 he became a member of the Artists' Union. During his career, he illustrated more than 200 books. Tsarevich died in 1992.
