Jose Clemente Orozco was a Mexican painter and muralist born in 1883. He is considered one of the most important artists of the Mexican muralism movement. He studied at the Academy of San Carlos in Mexico City and later traveled to the United States, where he painted murals at Dartmouth College and the New School for Social Research in New York City.
