- Jane Tattersfield grew up in London where she studied illustration. She began her career with commissions from publishers, magazines, graphic design and greeting card companies and went on to specialise in children's books and television work. She created a highly colourful and intricately decorative style with influences from India, South America, textile, folk and ancient art. Now working in oils she produces paintings inspired by the natural world which are used worldwide for products such as clothing, jigsaws and needlepoint canvases.
