Biography
Bella Larsson (b. Gabriela González Larsson, Gothenburg, Sweden) is a wood engraver, painter and sculptor of Swedish-Spanish decent whose practice is based on site-dependent explorations into materiality. Larsson has studied fine art and graphic arts in the United Kingdom, Sweden and France. Her earlier work had a strong affiliation with east Asian cultures, but her more recent stark, somber, mainly monochrome pieces have firmly rooted her practice within her Nordic origin. She is currently living and working in Värmland, Sweden and London, UK. Larsson has exhibited and published internationally in Sweden, Spain, UK, Japan, Taiwan and Korea. Her work is included in private collections around the world as well as in notable public collections, such as the Victoria & Albert Museum, London.
