Biography
Ando or Utagawa Hiroshige (b. 1797 d. 1858) was a Japanese ukiyo-e artist, he is understood to be the final great master of that tradition. The focus of his work were atypical of the ukiyo-e genre, whose typical focus was femininity, actors and scenes of the urban pleasure districts of Japan's Edo period (1603–1868).
