Biography
LaVere Hutchings (1918-1999) was an American watercolourist and painter. He was a member of the Society of Western Artists, the East Bay Watercolour Society, the Central California Art League, the Midwest Watercolour Society, the National Watercolour Society, and the Whiskey Painters of America. LaVere not only enjoyed painting but teaching others how to paint. In addition to running many workshops over the years, the artist wrote two books for Walter Foster: “It’s fun to paint old shacks & barns” and “It’s fun to pain roads and rivers”. He also wrote a third book: “Make your watercolours sing” which found its way onto the shelves of thousands of watercolour students throughout America.
