Peter Breeden was born in 1956 and lives and works in Somerset, near to Bath. He regards himself as a very English painter, painting the landscape and places he knows best. He is increasingly interested in the painters and composers of the English Twentieth Century Pastoral Renaissance. Many of Peter's paintings are records of walks he has taken in the local area, he often tries to capture the mood of the day rather than any particular subject or view for its own sake.
