Biography
Kurtis Miller is an innovative artist, born and raised in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York. He continues to create written works that inspire people. His works have been published in the Schenectady Daily Gazette newspaper. He often writes about the wonders of life that are often played out in real life experiences. From the murder of his younger brother, divide amongst people, peace, prosperity, the passing of his mother Mary J. Miller, who died on January 1, 2015. She was battling cancer. Devastated from his mother's death, Kurtis picked himself up and used his mother’s last words of inspiration, “finish everything you have started no matter how long it takes.” This drove Kurtis to return to college and graduate from Full Sail University on October 30, 2015, with his studies in media communications certification. Kurtis's journeys led to his 2011 - 2012 Illustration for the front cover of Madame Butterfly's theater program. He was a finalist in the Tampa Bay Lightning’s 6th Annual Open Call to artists. Kurtis has a catalog of the artwork displayed on the Bridgeman Images website. He is a registered artist with the United States Postal service stamp design division. Kurtis's ultimate goal is to bring people together in peace, bridging the gap between ignorance and knowing using all forms of communication.
