Lucinda Arundell lives and paints in Truro, Cornwall. She was a student of Robert Lenkiewicz for some years before his death in 2002. Winner of the Lloyds Art Group prize in 2008, Lucinda is best known as a portraitist and has hung in the Mall Galleries in London, Lanhydrock in Cornwall (solo exhibition), the Riverside Gallery in Golant, Gallery 286 in Earl's Court and the PZ Gallery in Penzance, amongst others. Her series of Floating Girls has drawn widespread critical acclaim. The theme of floating, or sleeping, is a recurrent one in her work, symbolising freedom and release.
