- Julia Gibson was born in 1931 and later chose a career in music, playing the timpani and percussion. However, pictures were always in her mind and after an operation that forced her to stop playing, she turned to art and has never looked back. She trained with Peter Wilton at De Montfort University in Leicester and within six months, she was exhibiting. Julia draws inspiration from her love of life, music and human beings.
