Annie Brain was born in Coventry and grew up in the surrounding area of leafy Warwickshire. She attended Coventry College of Art, where, taught by Terry Frost and Michael Sandle, she gained a degree in Fine Art, before going on to a post-graduate teaching course at London University Institute of Education.<br />
Annie's work has appeared at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition a number of times, and her paintings hang in collections in the UK, Europe and America. She exhibits at the Llewellyn Alexander Gallery in London.<br />
Annie's influences range from Magritte to Caspar David Friedrich and Henri Rousseau, by way of Samuel Palmer and Joseph Farquharson. She is currently working on themes of "Day's End" and "Nightfall".<br />
