b. 1940<br> Korean artist Sim, Myung-bo graduated from the Department of Art at Pusan National Teachers College in 1960 and followed with a Masters of Art Education from Kei-Myoung University in 1974. From 1988-1991 he studied in the Art Student League of New York while participating in a number of shows and working as a Research Professor at Jersey City State College in New Jersey.<br> His work primarily features the highlights of his rose garden, exploring light and colour as well as the more ephemeral and timeless qualities of the rose and how it compliments even the most mundane things. <br> He has continued to teach fine art throughout his life and is a Profesor Emeritus at Hudson County Community College. He shows regularly in New York and in Seoul at the Yoo Kyung Gallery and Moyer Gallery.<br>
