Biography
b. 1971<br> Daniel Clarke is an American painter and printmaker currently working and living in France. He received a fine arts degree from Yale University in 1993 before moving to Paris in 1995. He as worked in the Mourlot and Maeght printshops and is currently working at the Woolworth printshop. His work blends a very personal vocabulary of icons and objects with that of his newly adopted environment in France. He was selected for the prestigious Artistes Américains en France 1947-1997 show at the Mona Bismark Foundation. In June 1999, he was awarded the Pierre David Weill drawing prize from the Institut de France. His work has been exhibited throughout Europe. <br> <br> Daniel joined WICE's faculty in 1996 and has taught classes on still-life painting, outdoor painting, drawing, monotypes . <br>
