Biography
b. 1940<br> Nigel Hughes, graduating from the Royal Academy Schools in 1977, paints figuratively and mainly in oils. He has recorded Mayan architecture in a series of 40 watercolours and, more recently, the most threatened bird family in the Americas in 43 oils, which are going on a museum tour in the USA in 2005. <br> He is a Fellow of the Linnean Society.
