Biography
Dorothée Martin du Mesnil holds exhibitions of her wonderful paintings in diverse places in Paris and in other towns in France. For many years, she has been settled in Normandy where she creates works of art in deep symbiosis with Nature. <br> All around her, each and every thing becomes a source of inspiration: a sliver of bark, a butterfly's wing, undergrowth, flowers, forests and landscapes...these subjects are often portrayed as if seen through a magnifying glass. Strong stark contours, astonishing effects of perspective, bright contrasting hues are their distinctive features. This ultra-concrete reality can thus transmute to abstraction and lead the spectator's eye deep into the secret of the universe.
