Biography
Jilli Blackwood was born in Glasgow and attended the Glasgow School of Art, specialising in embroidered and woven textiles. She has been awarded the McCreadie Award several times, and won a Bursary from the Weavers Association. She has works of art in several permanent collections and larger works in private collections. <br> <br> Jilli Blackwood created her slash and show technique whilst a student at Glasgow School of Art and has been refining and developing it ever since. She combines texture, colour and design, different textiles adapting to dye, cut and fray and light in a different manner. <br>
