(1909-95)<br> The aim of Brenda Moore is to supply the viewer with multiple meanings through the use of idiosyncratic imagery in each work. Her works function as windows into streams of consciousness sequences. Each work starts with an enamel ground on wood upon which a layer of encaustic is poured. Once the encaustic layer has cooled, she carves into the surface revealing the enamel layer underneath, combining a painting and drawing process.
