Annabel Barrett trained as a textile designer at the Leicester College of Art and worked in the fashion industry for several years. During this period she continued her artistic training ultimately specialising in botanical illustration.<br> <br> Barrett teaches at local Adult Education Colleges around the country and is a member of both the Leicester and the Birmingham Societies of Botanical Artists. She paints in watercolour to render realistic botanical paintings of flowers, plants, fruit and vegetables with a contemporary and modern feel.<br>
