Charlotte Johnson Wahl was educated in England and the United States and attended the Byam Shaw School of Art in London, gaining an MA in English at Oxford. From 1979 to 1988 Charlotte Johnson made her living painting portraits on commission in London. In 1988 she moved to New York and painted a series of urban landscapes. <br> <br> Since 1996 she has lived in London where she has concentrated on urban scenes and still lifes. Charlotte Johnson has exhibited in London, Brussels and New York. She was awarded a Fellowship by the Ligura Study Center for the Arts and Humanities and her work has been used in publications, magazines and on a television documentary.<br> <br> Over the course of her career Charlotte Johnson has sold over 350 paintings and drawings to New College Oxford, Dupont Pharmaceuticals, France Telecom and Credit Lyonnais. Her work is in the collections of diplomats, writers, journalists and bankers and is also exhibited at Eton College and Lady Margaret Hall Oxford.
