Karen Armitage trained at the Chelsea Art School and studied under Norman Blaney, R.A. She then painted with Stanley Grimm in London. <br> <br> Karen has held exhibitions in watercolour of non-botanical flowers at the Oliver Swann Gallery and exhibited regularly with the New English Art Club, The Pastel Society and The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. She has also shared a ‘two-man’ exhibition at W.H. Patterson, London, showing oils, pastels and watercolours.<br> <br> Living in London, but spending much time with her family at their home in Sussex, Karen paints flowers from her garden in watercolour and the rolling Sussex landscape in oil. In London she concentrates on figure painting. She is also inspired by the landscapes and native colours of Spain, Italy, France, Portugal and Morocco. <br>
