Kevin Parrish is a traditional oil painter, self taught, sometimes venturing into surreal, and inspired by the natural beauty of life in the world around him. His genre of artwork is often an extension of his hobbies and interests including steam railways, music, science fiction, celestial and the natural world.
Born, Birmingham in 1953 Kevin spent his formative years in the county of Warwickshire and has been painting professionally since 1995. Kevin has since developed his styles with portraiture, figurative, landscape scenes, including railways and canals.
Kevin has been a Full member of the Guild of Railway Artists from 2018 and his railway paintings are exhibited and sold annually with the Guild of Railway Artists at the Kidderminster Railway Museum next to the Severn Valley Railway in Worcestershire England UK. His artwork has found global markets and can be found in private collections in UK and overseas and been published in books, magazines and merchandise including greeting cards and jigsaw puzzles. He has had extensive press coverage over the years and has won awards. He has had two sell out exhibitions at Warwick Studios in Leamington Spa Warwickshire during 2006 and 2008 and was Resident Artist there meeting art lovers from around the globe. From 2009 to 2018 he exhibited with the prestigious Mitchell Gallery in Warwick creating black and white night scenes of historic Warwick in moonlight.
