Boyd Harte was born in Lancashire, 1948. His father was a commercial artist and his grandfather owned a lithographic printing works. After graduating from the Royal College of Art he established a flourishing career as an illustrator, poster designer and painter.
Working in London and Paris, Boyd Harte was best known for his whimsical images of local hotspots and seasonal produce. His architectural illustrations of London shops and Paris boulangeries are instantly recognisable to those living in the area.
