Biography
Charlotte’s work is inspired by the natural world. Her paintings explore the blurred boundaries between the abstract and the figurative. Her recent work has focused on the coral seas of the Indian Ocean as Expedition artist for the Royal Geographical Society. Her paintings reveal underwater life forms emerging from and receding into a deeper ocean void. She strives to capture the effect of sunlight filtering through water and to convey both the vitality and fragility of the underwater world.
