Liz Wright’s formative years were spent at art college during the radical change of vision which took place during the late 1960s. Her rejection of the late abstract tradition places her in the context of a post-Pop Art representational revival. Her painting is thus essentially English and forms part of the figurative and romantic landscape tradition that is so seminal to work in this country.<br> <br> Liz Wright’s sense of humour within her art, her use of metaphor and quotation make her a part of the post-modern condition.<br>
