Ann Patrick was born in Dundee, Scotland and she studied at the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee. She has painted frequently abroad, particularly in Italy and has mounted many major solo exhibitions in Scotland and one in Japan. Her grandchildren appear in many of her paintings.<br> <br> Her work is in private and public collections in Great Britain and also in private collections in Canada, USA, Holland, Denmark, Hong Kong, France, Algeria and Japan. <br> <br> Ann Patrick celebrates the sensuous qualities of her surroundings – fruit, flowers, children, the sky, the sea, the seasons, the time of day. Such ephemera, she strives to make permanent in formally considered images.<br>
