<p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 10pt"><span lang="EN-GB" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB"><font size="3"><font face="Calibri">Architect, painter & sculptor.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Born on family estate at Stonim, north-eastern Poland.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>On invasion of Poland in September 1939, escapes with parents from the Germans and then the Russians through Lithuania, Latvia, Sweden, Belgium, to France; then on the collapse of France, through Spain and Portugal to England.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>After education at Kilgraston, Perthshire, Scotland, she graduates at the Oxford School of Architecture, 1949-54.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Works as architect in London and studies painting under Jozef Pacewicz, 1954-56.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Works as architect in Madrid 1956-59.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Marries Eduardo Aranda Caranze, a Spanish diplomat.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Has two sons and a daughter.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Husband predeceased her as Spanish Ambassador in Finland and Estonia, in 1993.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span><p /></font></font></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 10pt"><span lang="EN-GB" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB"><font size="3"><font face="Calibri">Has had individual exhibitions in: Haiti, Baghdad, Cairo, Alexandria, Cadiz, Caracas, Rome, Madrid, London and latterly at The Museum of the University of Tosun, the National Museum of Krakow, and the Warsaw Polytechnic.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Awarded the bronze medal at the First Competition of Contemporary Painting staged by Iberia Airlines, 1974.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Participated in ‘Trajectories’ which toured several continents, 1980.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span><p /></font></font></span></p>
