MPX5132548: The Short S.45 Solent 2 the last of the large flying boats flown by BOAC on overseas routes. It first flew in 1946 and the last one was built in 1949. MPX5132585: Trodden by the feet of generations, The Black Gate, once a main entrance to the city of Newcastle, remains little changed by the passage of time. The Black Gate was the last addition to the medieval Castle defences.
