Military Army: The 7th Duke of Edinburgh's Own Gurkha Rifles, many whom have seen action in Borneo, are visiting England especially to take part in the Lord Mayor's show on Saturday (No. 8) These 35 Gurkhas, who have come from Hong Kong, were playing their pipes and drums on the steps of St. Pauls Cathedral, dress in their colourful rifle green dress uniforms. November 1969

Lulu the baby elephant at Chessington Zoo, was weighed-in, for Lulu was the star of a competition organised by Tyne Brand, for contestants to judge what Lulu's weight would be on this date. Amongst the judges was boxing champion Henry Cooper, Mr. H. A. Snazle Gen. Manager of Chessington Zoo, and Mr. R.W. Hampson, Marketing Manager of Spillers Ltd. 
Lulu on the scales being watched by her keeper Alex Smith, and Henry Cooper.
