MPX5127553: The old sport of tilting at the quintain, one popular throughout medieval England, was revived at Offham, Maidstone, when the only quitain in the country was restored to the village green. It has been kept in safety from air raids all through the war. The Lord Lieutenant of Kent, Lord Corrnwallis, "reinstated" the quintain and took the first tilt at the quintain.
