- John Millar Watt (1895-1975) was a Scottish artist known for his landscape paintings. Born in Glasgow, Watt studied at the Glasgow School of Art and later at the Royal Scottish Academy. He served in World War I and was wounded in action, which influenced his later work. Watt's paintings often depicted the Scottish countryside, with a focus on the changing seasons and the effects of light on the landscape. He was a member of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour and exhibited his work widely throughout Scotland and the UK. Watt's work is held in collections including the National Galleries of Scotland and the Glasgow Museums. He continued to paint until his death in 1975.
