Gustave Caillebotte (b. 1848 d. 1894) was a French painter. He was a prominent member and patron of the Impressionist movement, though he painted in a more realistic style than many others in the group. He was distinguished by his early interest in photography as an art form. Caillebotte predominantly painted domestic and familial scenes, interiors, and portraits. Many of his paintings also depict members of his family
