Ron Waddams was born in London in 1920 and trained at the Ealing School of Art. After a successful career as a graphic designer, in 1967 he took up a new style to express his personal values and concerns in a series of works in acrylic on board. The works in this series are marked by a powerful, sometimes disconcerting use of colour in a highly distinctive style. Ron Waddams’ work has been shown in a number of one man exhibitions, notably in the Chapel of Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford and at Warwick University Arts Centre and in Winchester Cathedral.
