Biography
Lucy Raverat was born in 1948 and spent most of her creative life in Bentham, Yorkshire. Painting in acrylics, oils and watercolours she draws inspiration for her paintings from her rural surroundings, including still-life, animals and landscapes.

In 1989, Lucy Raverat exhibited in the Women in Art exhibition in Belgravia, alongside Eileen Agar, who took a tremendous interest in her work which attracted enormous interest from this time and she now sells worldwide.

Her new series of paintings reflect the surrounding of her French home – rocky mountains, winding inlets and villages perched on mountainsides. The clear light of the Midi and strong colours of the land also reflect this new environment.

Lucy’s paintings are in many major collections in England, Japan, America and Europe.
